What is Live Blackjack?
As a live dealer table game, Live Blackjack is hosted by a real-life dealer and broadcast live from Evolution’s purpose-built live studios. The aim of the game is simple – you need to acquire a hand that is as close to or equal to 21 as possible without going bust.
If you beat the dealer, you will win. You can also place various side plays in Live Blackjack, including Perfect Pairs and 21+3, to increase your potential wins as you play at Stake.us.
How to Play Live Blackjack by Evolution
To play Live Blackjack by Evolution Gaming, you must create an account at the Stake social casino.
As you enter the Live Blackjack game lobby, you will see seven seats at the table. If a seat is unavailable, you can use the play behind feature, meaning you can join the game at any time.
The objective of blackjack is to acquire a hand that is as close to or equal to 21 without going over. You can stand at any time or hit to receive another card from the dealer.
Once you have decided to stand, the dealer will reveal their cards and the person with the highest combination, 21 or under, wins.

Live Blackjack Rules, Features & Gameplay
Before playing Live Blackjack, here are the rules and features you need to know about:
Blackjack Rules
Following the basic rules, in Live Blackjack, the host deals two cards to each player at the table. After receiving your cards, you can stand with the cards you have or hit to receive another. You can hit as many times as you like, but you will lose if you go over 21.
Number cards are worth their shown amounts, and picture cards are worth ten. Aces can be worth either one or eleven. Winning with blackjack is having a ten or picture card plus an ace.
The game follows the Vegas Strip rules of Blackjack, and eight decks of cards are used. The dealer must stand on 17, and you can place an insurance play if the dealer peeks for blackjack when their first card is an ace.
Game Features
This is a conventional Live Blackjack game with all the hallmarks of classic blackjack, including insurance plays. Having said that, you can also place various side plays to keep things interesting as you play. Perfect Pairs invites you to play on receiving pairs from the outset, while the 21+3 side plays allows you to play on a three-card poker hand after the cards have been dealt.

Blackjack Strategies & Tips to Win
Here are some helpful tips to bear in mind as you take your seat at the live blackjack table:
For the biggest wins in Live Blackjack, take advantage of the side plays and other playing options available.
As with all blackjack games, blackjack players should be wary of table limits. Choose the blackjack game that is best suited to your playing style.
Key to any blackjack strategy is deciding when to hit and stand. If you’re dealt a hand of 17 or above, given that the dealer has to stand on 17, it makes sense not to risk going bust.
You can split your cards in Live Blackjack when you receive a pair. But be mindful of which cards you should split, as it’s not usually a good idea to split a pair of tens.
